Paul Pfeiffer

When I saw most of Paul pfeiffer work I noticed he likes a lot of media things.  He uses recent computer technologies to dissect the role that mass media plays in shaping consciousness. He uses a different focus point when he does his shots. He presents them on small LCD screens. This more so for the audience to see what hes portraying in his video. His videos look more suspenseful  and on the thriller side. I can tell by the close up view angel. To me it looks like he’s trying to make a scary movie. He’s had miniature dioramas of sets from films that include “The Exorcist” and “The Amityville Horror.

John Baldessari

I watched John Baldessari in a video in class showing and talking about a lot of his art work. This picture stood out to me because you would think this would be a vase, bu its a nose holding the flowers. I would’ve never though to do that. He a lot of different things nit just one particular thing to focus on. When watching the video the work that he had done was incredible. I saw art work that I would’t think of making or could be something really big. I enjoyed seeing his work of art.

Waterfall

This picture really amazed by this waterfall being designed this way. Something about how this was made to be setup this way is genius to me. Olafur Eliasson work is epic in a way. I can’t really explain it, but its unique very different from others. I’m just wondering how did they get this to happen and where is the water going. I like the metal pipe design of it. it looks like a water slide to me but just unfinished in a process of getting down.

Olafur Eliasson

When I went on Olafur Eliasson  page his artwork was very delightful to see. I love their is a good selection of stuff to look at. Very different in his own way. This particular piece that I saw had me wondering I want to know what is it and what is it called. This picture looks like a big chandelier but it seems like it would take forever to build. I like the colors of it seems like the light is hitting it and its reflecting the light all the way down to the end of it. I see a lot of triangular shapes being put together.

I’m losing time

Jenny holzer artwork is one my favorites. I think its really neat how she does her big letters to represent things. Watched a video of her in class and loved her work. You don’t see most artwork like those all of the time. I noticed in her video I could she loved what she was doing. She was very dedicated to her work. I like her pictures have meaning to them. Most of her pictures have the grey and white affect. I think its also that negative and positive effect thing going on as well in each picture of words.

Mathematical Models

Hiroshi Sugimoto had a lot of interesting stuff. All of his artworks were really good. I wonder what particular camera did he shoot his artwork with because they are so clear and everything is on point with detail. When clicked on a picture he had more of his work to show you nice selection of it. I think I would to visit a museum to go and look at some his work. I see a lot of positive and negative space I think he focused on that the most in each of his photographs.  Everything was so different where I have seen artwork his before.

Andrea Zittel

A-Z MANAGEMENT MAINTENANCE

Something about this picture says it would be worth displaying in a art gallery.  I would use this as my little work office or desk. Andrea Zittel to me likes to take pictures out of the ordinary things. I saw other pictures I didn’t know what they were and they excited me to. This picture isn’t  original to me because at the desk its a sink to wash your hands. Maybe more of a Asian style I see the tea pot and the design of it. I think I see a burner mixed in with a clock.

Production Still From Identity

The sculpture with the people really says something to me. Its different and unique in some type of way. I guess the way that they are standing is really cool. The position and how they are standing is makes the picture pop more to me. Their is another picture with hands all sort of stuck together and it made me wonder what Bruce Nauman was thinking when he created that piece of art work. I see three pictures of horses it makes me wonder does he have a thing for horses or what does the horse represent in his work of art. The angle from this picture for some odd reason I like it because its crisp and clear. Its a picture of a long group of stairs in a desert looking area; tome it looks like maybe mexico where Bruce Nauman lives at.

Bruce Nauman

I can honestly say he is one of my favorite artist because his work is so random and he doesn’t have to try and create a particular piece of art work. His work is like free flowing to me its something I would do. The art work isn’t all out their where its hard to figure out at once; I can look at his art work and know exactly what is going on. I like the question “what to do” because it gives me stride to do what’s important to grow as an artist. I hope somebody ask me that question and I can explain to them what I would do or am going to do.

when I watched this short video on Vito Acconci I was creeped out by it and some other videos he had. This particular seems to me as he has some issues with himself and being accepted by others. I know most of his videos are based on this Acconci’s early video tapes took advantage of the medium’s self-reflexive potential in mediating his own and the viewer’s attention. Consistently exploring the dynamics of intimacy, trust, and power. I saw video where their was a small family on a farm with their son and out of no where their was a dead chicken. The man cut off its two legs and that had me wondering should I eat chicken. I felt bad for the chicken and how it got its legs cut off.
